Fires in Dibër County have engulfed considerable areas of forest. The flames are advancing rapidly in Lurë National Park, at Qafë Helmës and in the Fushë-Bulqizë–Selishtë area.

Due to the difficult terrain, the intervention of ground forces has been hindered. After several hours of efforts to extinguish the flames, two aircraft also joined the operation.
The Ministry of Defense announced that two “Air Tractor” aircraft have been deployed to provide aerial support for firefighting operations.
The aerial operation is being carried out in coordination with teams on the ground, which are continuing their efforts to contain active fire hotspots and prevent the flames from spreading further.
Ground and aerial operations are continuing without interruption, with the aim of containing the fire and bringing the hotspots under control.
