Water from Gostivar’s water supply network remains unfit for consumption and may only be used for technical purposes. Interior Minister Pançe Toshkovski announced this this afternoon at a press conference following a meeting of the Central Crisis Headquarters, which he chairs.

According to Toshkovski, the procedure for conducting the next round of tests has been determined. Inspections by several institutions will be carried out more frequently, ensuring more continuous monitoring of water quality.
“As soon as we have three consecutive results confirming that the water is safe to drink at all monitoring points across the city, we will inform Gostivar residents that it is potable, rather than being restricted to technical use as it has been until now,” Toshkovski stated.
Meanwhile, the supply of bottled drinking water to Gostivar will continue. The minister announced that approximately 580,000 liters have been provided in recent days by the Government, socially responsible companies and other municipalities.
