The new executive received 62 votes in favor, eight against and no abstentions.
Following the constitution of the government, 15 members of the cabinet drawn from the ranks of the Vetëvendosje Movement, including Prime Minister Albin Kurti, must give up their parliamentary mandates. Under the rules, the same person cannot simultaneously serve as a member of parliament and as a minister or member of the government.
As a result, the seats vacated by the ministers are expected to go to other candidates on the LVV list.
The candidates expected to become LVV’s new members of parliament are:
Naim Bardiqi
Fitim Haziri
Ilir Qeriqi
Egzon Azemi
Mimoza Shala
Arsim Ademi
Luan Aliu
Fatos Geci
Adelina Trshana
Ejup Ahmeti
Filiz Mustafa
Arijeta Rexhepi
Agon Batusha
Fahrush Rexhepi
Elvira Ibrahimi Hoti
Despite the change in parliamentary mandates, the composition of the government cabinet is expected to remain the same as that of the third government led by Kurti.
