The meeting was attended by representatives Laura Fiorotto and Ardita Zekiri, Shpend Murati, chief of staff to the minister for Inter-Community Relations, Agon Ferati, and ministry representatives Sueda Bajrami and Xhelal Çajani.

The discussions focused on new approaches to advancing social cohesion, particularly on how research and data can support policies that create stronger, more inclusive and more resilient communities.

An important part of the conversation was devoted to the SCORE Social Cohesion Survey, which provides important data and insights into the factors affecting social cohesion, relations between communities and the challenges facing society.

Participants stressed that research findings must go beyond analysis and be translated into applicable public measures and policies. In their view, evidence-based decision-making guides institutions more effectively toward citizens’ real needs and measurable results.

The meeting also examined opportunities for further cooperation, as well as ways to use research on social cohesion to promote positive change, inclusive development and sustainable development.

In this context, combining research with action was deemed essential, bringing together data, dialogue and evidence-based policies.
