A tense debate and heated exchanges took place in the Albanian Parliament between Gazment Bardhi, head of the Democratic Party’s parliamentary group, and Socialist Party MP Zegjine Çaushi.

During his speech, Bardhi addressed the MP by referring to her uncle, who was arrested after allegations by his former cohabiting partner that he had used violence and injured her father with a sharp tool (sickle).
Çaushi, for her part, asked to respond to the accusations, saying: “You should worry about your own problems, Gazo. Did you get married yourself or not?”

Bardhi to Çaushi: Did your uncle get married? Did he get married? Stay in your place because I am speaking. I will give this other part to him. Another friend of mine will bring the oil and he will take it, while the other one will take the gas. This is the state you have built. You have nothing to do with the law.

Çaushi: You should worry about your own problems, Gazo. Did you get married yourself or not? The elections in Fier are won when a political leader like you comes along. For someone as miserable as you to come along, someone who eats meatballs and drinks gin without knocking on a single door, not only are the elections won, but they are won more convincingly than this time.
