The bill on the new administrative-territorial reform has been approved by the Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights, thereby advancing to the plenary review stage.

The draft was voted through solely by the majority. The eight Socialist Party MPs present at the meeting supported the initiative, while there were no votes against or abstentions.
No opposition representative took part in the voting procedure. The opposition has withdrawn from the parliamentary process concerning this initiative.
Following its approval by the committee, the bill was immediately forwarded to the Assembly’s governing bodies with the aim of including it on the agenda of parliamentary sessions.
The final vote is scheduled to take place during Thursday’s plenary session, on October 8. At this stage, the initiative is expected to prompt reactions from the opposition and interest groups.
