Following DNA analysis of human remains exhumed from mass graves in northern Kosovo, three victims have been identified, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced on Saturday.

According to Kurti, the victims’ families have been informed of their identities, while further results are still pending from samples sent for analysis.
Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla said that clarifying the fate of every person forcibly disappeared is a state priority and a humanitarian obligation.
“For the Republic of Kosovo, clarifying the fate of every person forcibly disappeared is a state priority and a humanitarian obligation, which will remain unresolved as long as even one family is still waiting for answers,” he wrote.
