According to Agence France-Presse (AFP), most of the canceled flights were bound for various European destinations, including Paris, Rome and Dublin.
Bad weather has also affected planes scheduled to arrive in Amsterdam, with dozens of these flights canceled or delayed.
Schiphol said difficult weather conditions would limit the number of takeoffs and landings throughout the day.
Airport authorities have not yet published the total number of affected flights, as the storm continues to disrupt normal air traffic.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
