The State Audit Office has announced that the institution’s server has been targeted in a cyberattack. As a result, phishing messages containing fraudulent attempts are being sent from the official email address of Director Maksim Acevski.

According to the announcement, these suspicious communications have been sent to recipients across North Macedonia, as well as to the Office’s international partners.
The institution is urging citizens and organizations not to open the messages in question and to avoid clicking on any links they contain.
The Information Technology Department has begun working to resolve the situation, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs has also been notified of the incident.
The State Audit Office’s official website remains operational, and audit reports continue to be published regularly.
