Journalist Aleksandar Spasovski reported live from Belgrade for Sitel TV that several media teams from North Macedonia had been stopped at the border while entering Serbia. The journalists were heading to the Serbian capital to cover the parliamentary elections. They had waited at the border crossing for around two to two and a half hours, during which their passports were held.
Spasovski said that, alongside the Sitel team, other journalists from North Macedonia who had set out to report on the election process had experienced the same wait. According to him, their documents had been held for more than two hours, perhaps two and a half, and he speculated that checks might have been taking place.

During his report, the journalist gave no official explanation for the delay and did not say which border crossing it had occurred at. He presented the possibility of checks only as speculation.
The teams were later allowed to enter Serbian territory. As Spasovski explained, the delay at the border meant they arrived in Belgrade only 15 to 20 minutes before the live broadcast.
Speaking about the situation in the capital, he said he had seen police forces while passing through central Belgrade. However, at that point, he could not say that the city was experiencing a particularly tense atmosphere.
