A 49-year-old woman died this Thursday at Shkodër Regional Hospital after allegedly taking a considerable amount of medication at her home.

Police initially announced that the woman, identified by the initials D. P., had been rushed to hospital but failed to survive the consequences and died at around 1:50 p.m.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigative team is continuing its work to fully clarify the circumstances in which the incident occurred and determine the cause of death.
Investigations into the case have begun, while the relevant examinations are expected to help shed further light on it.
