Agron Shehaj, leader of the Mundësia Party, has made public further serious testimonies from students taken to police stations, who claim they were assaulted by police officers.
In a video published on social media, a young man recounts that he was struck on the back of the head and that he also has signs of violence on other parts of his body. He also says that police pressured him to admit that he had thrown a Molotov cocktail during the protest, an accusation he denies.

“They catch us, beat us and assault us simply because I am seeking my rights. They kept hitting me on the back of the head. They demanded that I admit I had thrown those things called…,” the young man is heard saying.
“Molotov,” another person replies.
“I don’t know what they’re called. ‘Admit it,’ they told me inside. When we entered together with that boy, they said: ‘Respect these ones, hit them.’ They grabbed me and kept hitting me on the back of the head the entire time. In fact, as you can see, they split my head open and I was bleeding,” the detained man continues in his testimony.
According to Agron Shehaj, the detention and arrest of the young people who took part in the protest were carried out without evidence.
“Young men and women who protested entirely peacefully have been detained and arrested. After the protest ended, they were chased through the alleyways, assaulted and then brought here. All of this was done without evidence and in violation of the law. We spoke with some of them, and almost all of them are students,” Shehaj declared.
Shehaj went to the police station together with Mundësia Party MP Erald Kapri. The latter recounted the case of three young students who, according to him, were assaulted and pressured to reveal their phone passcodes and the material they had recorded.
“They are Françesku, Fernando and Eugen… They are 22, 19 and 22 years old. According to what they have told us, they were forcibly taken and beaten in the Operational Unit’s vans.
They were asked to provide their phone passcodes in order to check their activities on the devices. After they refused, the violence against them intensified. They are currently in cells, while their families and lawyers have still not been notified. We are securing a lawyer for them and making sure their families learn what happened and go to take care of their children,” Kapri said in the video published on social media.
Earlier, Agron Shehaj had also published the testimony of a female protester. She said that police had followed her to near her home and stopped her, asking her to explain where she was headed.
