Following the preliminary results of Serbia’s parliamentary elections, in which the Student List came out ahead of President Aleksandar Vuçiç’s party, Ervin Salianji presented this as an important signal for Albania as well. According to him, Prime Minister Edi Rama is the last autocrat in the Balkans and Europe.
In a social media post, Salianji said that, after two years of confrontation, Serbian students had put both Vuçiç’s rule and the old opposition parties under pressure, which, he said, had refused to change.

He said the result showed that civic initiatives can drive political change. Meanwhile, Salianji argued, parties seeking to preserve their positions may lose the public’s trust.
Drawing a parallel with the student protests in Albania, he said that no government lasts forever and that civic mobilization and demands for new alternatives can bring about political change.
Full reaction:
After two years of confrontation, the student movement in Serbia dealt a decisive blow to Aleksandar Vuçiç’s rule and pushed him into opposition. The students also challenged the traditional opposition parties, which refused to reform. The opposition forces left the political scene and became relics of history!
The message is clear: citizens’ response is rewarded, autocracies fall, parties that fight to protect their seats disappear from the political map, while alternatives bring change.
Aleksandar Vuçiç is the penultimate autocrat to leave. Edi Rama is the last in the Balkans and Europe!
No government lasts forever. No autocracy is invincible. When citizens rise up and the old opposition loses their trust, change becomes inevitable.
Rama’s end is closer than ever!
