The citizen protests in Tirana have continued for several days with heightened tensions, marked by violence and clashes between police officers and protesters. Today’s rally began in the early morning, with lecturers and students taking to the square to protest the political situation in the country and Rama’s resignation.
Weather conditions have not been favorable for the students on the ninth day of the revolt. They lit fires using the chairs placed in front of the Prime Minister’s Office by the country’s leader, who has once again called for dialogue with the students. They refused to engage in dialogue and used the chairs to keep warm during the rally, as weather conditions remained unstable.
