The Municipal Council of Tetovo has decided to remove from the agenda the item that provided for the naming of 67 streets. The proposal was withdrawn with 20 votes in favor, while there were no votes against or abstentions.
The session was initially abandoned by the group of DUI councilors, but at the moment the meeting resumed, only their coordinator, Berat Murati, appeared in the hall.

After a lengthy discussion, the Council representatives concluded that this matter should be returned for evaluation to the Commission responsible for naming streets.
This commission began its activity several years ago and, based on the information provided during the session, two public discussions on this topic have been held so far.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo, Bilall Kasami, described the proposal coming from DUI as wrong, emphasizing that procedures for renaming streets have already begun.
