The “Liqeni i Dukagjinit” restaurant and hotel in Gjakova has been closed by the Environmental Inspectorate after its operations were deemed unlawful within the protected area of Lake Radoniq.

Acting Environment Minister Fitore Pacolli announced that closure seals had been placed and said institutions would continue intervening to protect water resources and protected areas in Kosovo.
Pacolli stressed that the Ministry would act decisively to protect these areas, while underscoring that drinking water is a public asset and that its protection cannot be compromised.
