Rron Kafegjolli said that citizens had been calling for the law’s approval for 17 days, while the delays, he said, were unacceptable.
He referred to statements by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, saying that the draft law remained blocked at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Finance.
“This is not an ordinary instruction that can circulate from one office to another. This is the law that protects the truth about the KLA, and we will not allow its approval to be dragged out,” Kafegjolli said.
The activist criticized ministers Donika Gërvalla and Hekuran Murati, calling on the institutions to respond to citizens’ demands.
According to Kafegjolli, state institutions must not be obstructed by the personal grudges or beliefs of Minister Gërvalla and Minister Murati, because the state cannot be treated as private property.
Emphasizing that October 6, the deadline for electing the president, was approaching, he called on the government not to delay the legislative process any further.
“The government must understand that young people are closely following the situation and that October 6 is approaching rapidly. Do not put our patience to the test,” he declared.
Kafegjolli concluded his speech by appealing to the government to listen to the protesters’ demands and position itself on the right side of history.
