Ukrainian forces launched one of the largest drone offensives in recent years against Moscow. Russia responded by firing missiles at Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, causing fatalities and leaving dozens injured.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Russian air defense systems confronted more than 600 drones approaching the capital. He said around 200 of them were destroyed before reaching their targets.

Andrei Vorobyov, governor of the Moscow region, said it was “one of the most massive drone attacks in recent years.” Six people were injured in strikes across the region.
A drone also caused a fire at a warehouse belonging to e-commerce company Wildberries, which has previously been targeted several times in Ukrainian attacks. In mid-July, Kyiv struck approximately 20 of the company’s warehouses and buildings.
At the same time, Russia carried out missile strikes in Ukraine. Two people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region, while another fatality was reported in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
