Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said that his government is ready to face early parliamentary elections if that is the opposition’s demand. He stressed that in such a case they would neither back down nor act like cowards, but would accept the request.

According to Mickoski, citizens do not want to go to the polls again, but expect reforms and the continuation of processes being led by the current government. In this context, he also recalled the comparison he made earlier, according to which the performance of this government stands at 3 to 1 compared with the previous government.
The prime minister added that the governing coalition had received a mandate from the citizens to govern for four years.
“What I said yesterday, I want to repeat: if the opposition believes that early elections are necessary, we will not stand aside like cowards. We will respond positively to this request and, naturally, we will win the elections,” Mickoski said.
