Kurti also spoke about the agreements reached במסגרת this framework, including travel with identity cards and the recognition of diplomas. He said that Kosovo has implemented all the signed agreements and that the other countries in the region should do the same, since no one should hinder the progress of the Western Balkans.

Today, at the 13th Summit of the Berlin Process, which is being held following the Bundestag’s decision for German soldiers to continue their presence in Kosovo as part of KFOR, I held a conversation with Chancellor Friedrich Merz. He congratulated me on my new mandate.
When Germany launched this initiative in 2014, it created a space where the six Western Balkan countries cooperate and are treated equally.
במסגרת the process, we have signed agreements on travel with identity cards and the recognition of diplomas, all of which we have implemented. All countries should act in the same way, because no one can hold the region hostage.
German direct investment in Kosovo amounts to around 1.5 billion euros, while 62% of it has been made during the past five years alone. There is great potential in industry, energy, transport, ICT and vocational education. Next week, Pristina will host the third German-Kosovo Economic Forum.
Germany is part of our European future. Thank you, Chancellor Merz!
