According to the official announcement, the measures were determined taking into account the high attendance and the specific circumstances surrounding the festival.
Under the operational order “Sunny Hill Festival-2026,” a considerable number of police officers have been assigned to the areas where the event will be held, and they will carry out designated duties. Other units from the relevant region of responsibility will also be involved in the operation.
The security plan provides for maintaining public order and peace before, during and after the festival, protecting the event perimeter and monitoring the situation on the ground. The police will also take legal action against anyone who violates the law.
Particular attention will also be paid to road traffic in the surrounding area. Depending on the situation, temporary roadblocks, traffic diversions and certain restrictions may be imposed.
To handle the large number of vehicles and visitors, the Kosovo Police have called on citizens and traffic participants to show understanding. The use of organized transport provided by the organizers, from the capital to the festival and back, has also been recommended.
Access to the festival area will be permitted only for authorized vehicles and people who have parking permits. At designated points, citizens will receive instructions from police officers.
The Kosovo Police emphasize that the measures are intended to ensure that the festival takes place in calm and safe conditions, and have called on citizens to cooperate and follow the instructions of police officers.
