At a press conference, Gazmend Syla said the organization was deeply outraged by the decision concerning the former KLA leaders.
According to him, the Kosovo Liberation Army was never a criminal enterprise but represented the resistance of the Albanian people. He stressed that no decision could change the history of the liberation war and reiterated the call for tomorrow’s protest at 12:00 in Skanderbeg Square.
Syla also announced that associations stemming from the KLA war would establish a National Coordinating Council and a platform that would include Albania, Albanians in North Macedonia, the diaspora and Albanians wherever they are.
He called on the country’s institutions to engage in this effort until the appeal proceedings take place.
During his remarks, Syla announced that he would present the platform today at 16:30 and then join the students gathered in the square.
