The Mayor of Çair, Izet Mexhiti, has announced that two alternatives are currently being considered to address the problem of irregular crossing in the Bit Pazar area of Skopje.
He stressed that solving this issue is urgent because of the area’s merchants, who consider this crossing vital for their activity.

“We are currently considering two solutions. The option that seems most feasible is installing a traffic light, while the other alternative involves demolishing the bridge if it poses an obstacle. Since this bridge is not fully used by citizens, its demolition could be an option to properly regulate that crossing. This is necessary because, although it was closed for a period, at the insistence of Bit Pazar merchants—where many families earn a living—the crossing was reopened to support business interests,” Mexhiti stated.
