Gruda reminds Konjufca: Tell us whose votes elected you deputy speaker; ours, when we held the majority, so stop obstructing yourselves

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Përparim Gruda stressed that his political party has no objections to any voting procedure for the deputy speaker posts. However, he added that the responsibility for securing the numbers needed to constitute the Assembly rests with the Vetëvendosje Movement, as the largest parliamentary force.

In his remarks, Gruda paused his argument to put a direct question to Glauk Konjufca, asking with whose support he had secured that position in the past.

“We are open to any voting method, provided that the party in power, which holds the majority, guarantees the establishment of the institutions. A parliament is never governed by two majorities; power belongs to only one side. Mr. Konjufca, can you remind us whose votes made you deputy speaker? Were they not our votes, back when we represented the majority? And who voted for Ms. Aida Dërguti, your former colleague? Once again, it was us. Why are you putting yourselves in this position of deadlock? This is absurd; you are isolating yourselves in this political stalemate.”
