GENER2 will be responsible for one of the infrastructure project’s most challenging components: the construction of bridges and tunnels.
The relevant section of the project provides for the construction of 5 tunnels, 8 bridges and 11 underpasses, requiring high-level technical solutions and standards.
The second phase of the works was presented yesterday by North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti, together with VLEN co-chairmen Izet Mexhiti and Bilall Kasami. The project is worth 198 million euros.
GENER2’s involvement in the highway’s construction gives the project an even stronger regional dimension, while the road is expected to significantly improve the infrastructure link between North Macedonia and Kosovo.
After a long period of delays, the Skopje–Blace highway has now entered the concrete implementation phase, with major companies engaged and work underway on the ground.
