Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha held a meeting in Przno, Montenegro with France’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz, during the latter’s visit.

The discussions addressed Albania’s path toward European Union membership, the situation in the Western Balkans and the strategic need for greater regional cooperation, connectivity and security.
In a post on X, Hoxha highlighted the excellent partnership between Albania and France, built on shared European values, as well as French support for the country’s European perspective.
He said France’s continued support for Albania’s European integration and its commitment to a credible, merit-based enlargement are of strategic importance for Albania, the future of the Western Balkans and Europe as a whole.
Hoxha added that Albania is determined to work closely with France to strengthen the region’s European perspective, bolster stability and security, and bring the Western Balkans closer to the European Union in a firm and irreversible way.
