According to reports, the two men were initially identified in Elbasan while traveling in a vehicle. They then headed toward Durrës and were stopped by police in the Plepa area.
The operation is linked to developments in the AKSHI case, which is being investigated by the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK). Ergys Agasi had previously been declared wanted by the agency.
Authorities are expected to release further details, including the charges and the role Uliam Shpataraku is suspected of having played in the case.
