Fish deaths have been recorded in the Treska River, in the Kičevo region. The “Hunter Fish” Sport Fishing Association reported the incident last night and called for swift action by the responsible institutions.

The cause of the incident has not yet been determined. For this reason, the association is calling for the urgent collection of water samples and samples of the dead fish, as well as laboratory testing.
“Hunter Fish” believes that all possibilities should be investigated, including pollution or other interventions that may have harmed the river’s ecosystem.
“Any pollution, poisoning or other intervention that threatens life in the river must be fully investigated, and the cause and responsibility must be determined,” the association said.
