Further details have emerged regarding Belinda Balluku’s new villa, which was seized in Palasë. According to News24, the cost estimates uncovered during searches of the computers at the “Atelier 4” studio revealed evidence that, according to SPAK, shows the luxury villa in Palasë, seized a few days ago, is beneficially owned by Belinda Balluku and that she received it as a bribe from “Alko Impex General Construction.”

The cost estimates showed that Arbër Abazi’s company had paid between 288,000 and 410,000 euros to “Atelier 4,” owned by brothers Alban and Olsi Eftimi, even though the company in question had no connection to the property in the documents, since the purchaser listed in the contract was former footballer Igli Tare.
According to SPAK, the villa was financed by Igli Tare up to the shell-construction stage, while Arbër Abazi, administrator of “Alko Impex,” took responsibility for the investment in the villa’s remaining construction work and its swimming pool. Abazi’s company received tenders from Balluku when she headed the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
The villa’s interior work was managed by Abazi’s partner, Lorela Reçi, who is also a family relation of the former deputy prime minister. She asked the construction company for permission to bring in subcontractors to continue the work.
Meanwhile, the strongest evidence that the villa belongs to Balluku consists of two emails sent by architect Alban Eftimi to her personal email address, in which he explained details about the luxury villa.
Belinda Balluku is being investigated for corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets, while she has been indicted for abuses involving road tenders, including the tender for the Llogara Tunnel.
Two security measures remain in force against the former second-ranking government official: a ban on leaving the country and suspension from exercising public functions.
