Bajraktari also called on the government to stop the violence against peaceful protesters and pave the way for a peaceful transition of power.
“US Ambassador Eric Wendt and European representatives should engage with protesters, the government and the opposition in Albania to create the conditions for forming a technical government.

Edi Rama cannot hold the country hostage. He must stop the violence against peaceful protesters, resign and pave the way for a peaceful transition of power.
Albania’s Western allies should monitor the entire process. This is the only way for Albania to have free, fair and democratic elections.

May God bless the United States, Albania’s European allies and the entire Albanian people,” the statement said.
