A group of approximately 20 residents from villages surrounding the Patos-Marinzë oil-bearing zone have locked themselves inside the premises of Bankers Petroleum, deciding to stay there throughout the night.

They have stated that their sit-in will continue indefinitely at Bankers’ headquarters until a meeting is held with an authorized representative, who is expected to present a final offer concerning their claims over land payments.
Meanwhile, the protesters remain inside the offices, awaiting an official response from Bankers.
