A violent armed confrontation in the Spille area was prevented from escalating thanks to the swift intervention of officers from the Kavaja and Rrogozhina police.

The officers took action after receiving operational information about a serious confrontation taking place in Spille. Coordinated actions at the scene led to the arrest in flagrante delicto of E. H., 31.
At the moment the law enforcement officers intervened, the young man was holding a Kalashnikov-type firearm loaded with live ammunition. Preliminary investigations showed that the 31-year-old had been involved in a conflict with I. R., 38, and intended to shoot and kill him.
Police seized the Kalashnikov and the corresponding ammunition as material evidence.
Further investigative actions established that during the confrontation, I. R. had punched N. H., causing him minor bodily injuries. For this reason, the 38-year-old was investigated while at liberty for the criminal offense of “Other Intentional Injuries.”
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigative action.
