An agreement to form the “Albanian Coalition” has been reached in Pristina, bringing together Albanian political representatives from Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa. It was signed in the presence of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The joint list aims to take part in Serbia’s parliamentary elections, which will be held on October 25.

Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha welcomed the agreement in a social media post, describing it as a step that serves the interests of Albanians in the three municipalities.
In his response, Berisha wrote that it was “an agreement to be welcomed!”, praising the decision to run with a single list called the “Albanian Coalition.”
He went on to say that the Democratic Party welcomed the agreement because it represents the best interests of Albanians in those municipalities in Serbia. In his post, he described Albanians in the municipalities as citizens who make up “the most oppressed minority in Europe under the Belgrade regime.”
On behalf of the Democratic Party, Berisha urged Albanians living in Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa, as well as those abroad, to vote. He said their participation would help secure the strongest possible political representation for the Albanian community in these areas.
