The Democratic Party of Turks in Macedonia (DPT) has officially become part of the governing coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE. With another MP joining its ranks, the parliamentary majority now holds a total of 59 seats, INA reports.

The MP in question is Bejxhan Iljas, who until now was part of the “European Front” coalition led by the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI).
Born on May 23, 1976, in Tetovo, Iljas graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Selçuk University in Konya, Turkey, according to his official biography. He works as a specialist physician at Tetovo Clinical Hospital.
During his political career, Bejxhan Iljas has led the Democratic Party of Turks in Macedonia and served as a councilor in the Municipality of Tearce, while he currently holds the position of DPT vice president. /INA/
