Around 100,000 citizens took part in the March for the UÇK in Pristina

The civic platform “Freedom Has a Name” expressed its gratitude to the around 100,000 citizens who joined the March for Freedom in Pristina today. According to the platform, their participation turned the capital into a powerful voice in support of freedom, justice and the truth about Kosovo’s liberation war.

In its statement, “Freedom Has a Name” said that citizens from all Albanian lands, every municipality in Kosovo, as well as compatriots from the diaspora, took part in the march. They joined together without distinction around a single message: “Freedom for the liberation fighters!”

“We thank the families of the martyrs, war veterans and war invalids, fellow fighters, citizens, the diaspora, artists, athletes, political representatives, organizations, businesses, the media, volunteers and everyone who contributed to making this march a great, peaceful and dignified manifestation,” the statement said.

According to the platform, Kosovo once again proved that when it comes to freedom, the UÇK and the people who took responsibility for the country during the most difficult periods of its history, its citizens know how to unite.

“Freedom Has a Name” stressed that today’s march conveyed a powerful message of solidarity for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi. Above all, according to the statement, it was a call in support of the truth, justice and history of Kosovo.
