During the 45th day of the citizen protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, one of the participants took the floor to raise concerns about the current state of the country and to condemn a serious incident involving Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe. The protester described Braçe’s verbal and physical attack on News 24 journalist Marsel Rupi as unacceptable, considering it a display of irresponsibility from a political representative.
He said that Albania is in a delicate phase of its historical journey, where individuals with modest positions are gaining excessive influence. “Erion Braçe has attacked a journalist, this is extremely unacceptable. He has the audacity to go on social media and play the victim,” the protester said, stressing that no form of aggression, whether verbal or physical, should be tolerated.

Addressing disillusioned citizens and those who feel unheard, the speaker called on everyone to engage in deep personal reflection and join the protest. He added that despite the continued attacks and insults, participants will not stoop to the level of the aggressors. “If you are disappointed, come to the protest. If you feel unheard, come to the protest,” he concluded.
