Officers from the Gostivar Police Station arrested I.T. (45), a resident of Gostivar, on 16 August 2026.

The arrest was made following a report that he had physically assaulted his 35-year-old wife. An alcohol test showed that I.T. had 1.01 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
Later that evening, the woman also reported that, over a long period, her husband had forced her to have sexual intercourse while under the influence of alcohol, and had subjected her and their children to physical and psychological abuse.
Based on these allegations, police searched I.T.’s home at 23:55, where they found and seized items linked to the criminal offence.
The suspect was held at the police station. Once the case has been fully documented, the appropriate charges will be filed against him.
