According to the party, the data at the start of the school year are alarming: 3,000 fewer first-grade students, 148 schools without students, 433 fewer classes, and the closure of 26 regional schools. LSDM assesses that such a bleak situation at the beginning of the school year has never been seen before, describing it as the “collapse caused by Mickoski’s criminal policies.”
“Macedonia is being left without first-grade students, educational institutions are being emptied, and the number of classes is declining. Along with them, we are also losing the country’s future,” LSDM said.
The opposition party says that the difficult economic situation, emigration, and the obstruction of the path toward Europe are encouraging young people to leave and weakening Macedonia’s workforce. According to the party, the isolation being pursued by Mickoski’s government is pushing young people to leave the country.
