The statement highlighted the Republic of Kosovo’s gratitude for Australia’s continued assistance and support. This support includes accepting and sheltering thousands of refugees during the last war, immediately recognizing Kosovo’s independence, and contributing to the strengthening of Kosovo’s international subjectivity.
“The Republic of Kosovo is interested in holding a second round of talks in Pristina, following the initial discussions between the foreign ministries of the two states, held in Canberra in July 2024,” the statement said.
During the meeting with Ambassador Morrision, an experienced diplomat and expert on the Western Balkans, attention was focused on bilateral relations and opportunities to expand cooperation in the areas of the economy, trade, industry, mining, energy and defense. The parties also discussed regional developments and current political affairs.
