Over the past 24 hours, police across the territory of Macedonia have deprived 10 drivers of their liberty for “reckless driving,” the Macedonian Interior Ministry announced.

Nine of the drivers were caught operating vehicles without a driving licence, while two of them were minors. Another driver caused a traffic accident resulting in material damage, while one person was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Interior Ministry said that, once the cases have been fully documented, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the detained individuals.
Authorities called on all road users to comply with traffic rules and not to drive without having passed the driving licence test, while banned from driving, or while under the influence of alcohol, in order to improve road safety.
