According to the Special Prosecution’s indictment, Xhemajli threatened to take Kurti’s life in a comment posted on Facebook on October 22, 2025, “Betimi për Drejtësi” reports.
Before issuing its decision, the court approved the plea agreement reached between the defendant and the Special Prosecution.
The agreement proposed that Xhemajli receive a one-year suspended prison sentence with a three-year probation period. However, the court rejected the sentencing recommendation and instead imposed a six-month custodial sentence.
The court announced that Xhemajli may appeal the length of the sentence.
He was charged with the criminal offense of “Threatening,” as stipulated in Article 181, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
