Bajrami: Kurti is delaying the formation of institutions and leading Kosovo toward new elections

Hykmete Bajrami, a member of parliament from the Democratic League of Kosovo, has criticized acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, accusing him of delaying the formation of institutions. According to her, after three rounds of elections, Kosovo could once again face a new electoral process.

In a Facebook post, Bajrami mocked the authorities’ justifications for failing to constitute the Assembly.

“From ‘the cart does not go before the horse’ to ‘we will not constitute the Assembly without a political agreement, because if we do, the country will go to elections’—these are the most banal justifications that, since December 2024, have left Kosovo without legitimate institutions,” Bajrami declared.

She described as contradictory the claim that obstructing the constitution of the Assembly is intended to avoid elections.

“If you do not constitute the Assembly, the country will go to elections again. So, what are you trying to avoid?” the MP wrote.

In the continuation of her response, Bajrami asked Kurti why he is continually leading the country toward new elections.
