Israel’s far-right National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, said Israeli forces should kill 30 or 40 people in Gaza every night. Al Jazeera reports that the far-right minister in Netanyahu’s government made the remarks while speaking on a podcast with Rom Braslavsky, a former Hamas hostage in Gaza.

“There are people there who are not worthy of life. They should not live. They are not even human beings,” Ben-Gvir added, calling for the targeted killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
These remarks are the latest in a long record of extreme statements by Ben-Gvir, who is part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition government and oversees Israel’s police and prison services. The far-right minister has gained influence in Israel as the country approaches elections on October 27.
