Defense Minister Ermal Nufi announced in a Facebook post that Armed Forces personnel are working intensively to tackle and manage the fire hotspots in Lurë, Dajt, Krujë and Bulqizë.

In Lurë, according to the minister, 65 Armed Forces personnel and one fire engine are on the ground. The fire has been brought under control and poses no threat to residents’ lives or homes.
Two Air Force helicopters have been deployed to intervene in Dajt. Nufi said the fire does not threaten homes or businesses.
In Abaze, Krujë, the Armed Forces have deployed 32 personnel, one fire engine, one ambulance and one helicopter. Populated areas are not at risk.
Meanwhile, 22 personnel and three Armed Forces vehicles are operating in Bulqizë. The situation near populated centers is fully under control, with no threat to people’s lives or homes.
The minister stressed that the situation is being monitored continuously. Operational forces are continuing their efforts without interruption to contain and extinguish the fire hotspots, with the protection of people’s lives, homes, property and the environment as their priority.
