Avdullah Hoti, a former prime minister of Kosovo, has reacted to institutional developments in the country, stressing that respect for constitutionality takes precedence over any electoral interest.

In a Facebook post, Hoti claimed that the party that came first in the elections had violated the Constitutional Court’s ruling by preventing the Assembly from being constituted within the constitutional deadline of 30 days from the certification of the election results.
He stated that any step taken after the deadline had expired was contrary to the Constitutional Court’s ruling.
“The deliberate obstruction of the Assembly’s constitution, driven by electoral interests, cannot go unanswered,” Hoti said.
