The Ministry of Defense has provided an update on the fire situation in the country over the last 24 hours, reporting 27 fire hotspots, 5 of which remain active, while 2 others are under monitoring.

For extinguishing the flames, 42 firefighting vehicles and 371 operational forces have been engaged. In support of the operations, 153 Armed Forces personnel, 6 firefighting vehicles, an FA ambulance, 4 helicopters, and an Air Force “Air Tractor” aircraft have also been deployed.
In Cikallesh, in the municipality of Kavajë, work continues to eliminate remaining hotspots, but the situation is not problematic and there is no danger to residential areas. Meanwhile, in Dajt and Priskë e Madhe, the situation remains under monitoring and no risk to homes is reported.
In Mallakastër, the fire along the Panahor–Ndrenie–Vlosh axis is currently under control. The situation in the Koilaç–Greshicë/Hekal area is also under control, with no danger reported to residential areas.
According to the notification, in Abaze, Krujë municipality, the fire has been reduced to small hotspots and poses no risk to residential areas.
Meanwhile in Krastë, due to difficult terrain, the operation is being supported from the air by an Air Force helicopter. There are no homes near the hotspot and there is no direct danger to the community.
In Vilëz, Kurbin municipality, the fire continues to be active. The intervention of two Armed Forces helicopters yesterday has curbed the advance of the flames and averted danger to the church, cemetery, and homes.
The Ministry of Defense announces that over the last 24 hours several other fire hotspots have been completely extinguished, among them in Xhaferaj–Oblikë, Spatharë, and Kodra e Butë in Cërrik.
