During the protest against Edi Rama’s government, a member of the Albanian diaspora in Belgium took the floor, calling for the government to step down and for the younger generation to play a greater role in leading the country.

According to him, young people should be entrusted with the confidence and responsibility to lead, as they represent the only force capable of moving Albania forward.
“Edi Rama and his government must go. He must hand over the leadership to the youth. We must place our trust in young people because only they can move Albania forward,” the citizen said.
Addressing citizens and the younger generation in particular, he warned of what he described as attempts to return the country to old politics.
“The manipulators will use every means to return to old politics. Stay away from old politics,” he said.
The diaspora representative then outlined the priorities that, in his view, Albania should pursue under the leadership of a new generation. These included protecting sovereignty, strengthening defense capabilities, building an economy that serves citizens, and improving the education system.
“Young people must safeguard Albanian sovereignty and the nation’s dignity, strengthen defense and an economy that serves the people, create an education system suited to current conditions, and prepare a younger generation with every opportunity,” he concluded.
