Democratic League of Kosovo MP Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu has criticized the situation in the Assembly, which has failed to be constituted.

According to her, MPs and political parties went to the Assembly with the aim of establishing the institutions and making them functional.
“We came as MPs and political parties to constitute the institutions and make them functional in the service of the state of Kosovo. However, we are facing complete irresponsibility from the first-largest party, which has failed to fulfill its constitutional obligation to propose a candidate for Assembly Speaker so that the candidate can be voted on and the Assembly constituted. This is a major shortcoming, but the responsibility lies with them. I call on all citizens to look at this picture of an Assembly that convenes but fails to constitute itself, while responsibility falls on the largest party,” she declared.
Lushaku-Sadriu stressed that she did not want to discuss possible scenarios, saying that attention should instead focus on the responsibility and seriousness that political parties must demonstrate toward the state and institutions of Kosovo.
“I do not wish to answer any questions. Today, it is a truly bad feeling, as the Assembly failed to be constituted. I do not want to talk about scenarios, but about the responsibility and seriousness of political parties toward this state and our institutions. For this reason, I once again call on the largest party to act seriously, put forward a candidate, and enable the institutions to be constituted,” said Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu of the LDK.
