A 10-year-old child was involved in a serious accident on “Llazi Miho” Street in Tirana, where he was struck in succession by two vehicles. The motorcycle rider was arrested at the scene, while criminal proceedings have been initiated without detention against the car driver, who fled the scene.

According to official information, the child was initially struck by a motorcycle ridden by a 27-year-old who did not have a driving licence. Following this collision, the 10-year-old is also suspected to have been struck by a car driven by a 47-year-old.
After the accident, the 47-year-old driver fled in his vehicle. Police officers carried out searches that led to his identification and apprehension, while he is being prosecuted without detention.
Meanwhile, police arrested the 27-year-old at the scene for riding the motorcycle without a licence.
The child was rushed to hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. According to doctors, the child’s life is not in danger. The case materials were referred to the prosecution office for further legal action.
