The Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, is intensively investigating suspected war crimes in the municipality of Zubin Potok.

Three people have been arrested so far in connection with the case. They are suspected of committing the criminal offense of “War crimes against the civilian population,” while several locations have been searched during the investigation.
In the village of Jabuka, investigative actions have led to the discovery of human remains. To enable their identification, the remains will undergo forensic examinations and DNA analysis.
Meanwhile, fieldwork is also continuing in the village of Kalludra e Vogël, where excavations have not yet been completed.
The Special Prosecution Office has confirmed that investigators are currently working at a third location as well. The prosecutor in charge visited the scene together with investigators from the War Crimes Investigation Directorate and forensic experts to oversee the investigative activities.
Because the proceedings are at a sensitive stage, the Special Prosecution Office said it cannot release further details at this time. Additional information will be made public when it can be disclosed without compromising the investigation.
